Magnificent Maple Grateful Card

This evening I was reminded by my friend Jessi's card post that the deadline for the Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World is midnight tonight. It worked out nicely because I really like the sketch at The Paper Players and I used it to make this Magnificent Maple Grateful Card. I've used a mixture of different patterned papers and they're all from different companies, My Mind's Eye (big woodgrain), American Crafts (light woodgrain), and K & Company (plaid). The Truly Grateful sentiment stamp and the Magnificent Maple stamp are both by Stampin' Up! Before I stamped the maple leaf, I sponged Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, and Cherry Cobbler ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I inked the maple stamp with Cajun Craze and stamped onto the sponged cardstock. Then I fussy cut the maple leaf and adhered it to a 2.5" circle. The accent banners are made from Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the final touch were three Old Olive Candy Dots. I'm also linking this card to the Anything Goes challenge at Make It Monday. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Vampire Bunny Halloween Card

Well... I thought I was done with Halloween but I remembered I had this Vampire Bunny digital image by Rick St. Dennis and decided to make one more card. The layout for this Vampire Bunny Halloween Card comes from the Mojo Monday sketch designed by Julee Tilman. My focal image is rectangle and the sketch shows a square but other than that I followed the sketch closely. Half of the patterned paper is from last years stash (spider web & diamond pattern by K & Company) and the rest is from this year (plaid and orange by DCWV). I colored the vampire bunny with my Copic markers and used the Teeny Tiny Wishes Happy Halloween sentiment stamp by Stampin' Up! A little black ribbon and four gemstones and this card was done. Thanks for stopping by and have a terrific night and pleasant tomorrow!

Scaredy Cat Halloween Card

I'm done with my Halloween cards! This Scaredy Cat Halloween Card is the last one for this year. To create this card I combined several challenges. Inspirational challenges include:
The Halloween cat image is by Bugaboo Stamps. I colored the image with my Copic markers and added some yellow Stickles to the face of the jack-o-lantern for some sparkle. The patterned papers are from my scrap bin and I used the Fiskars spider web punch for the border detail. The sentiment by Inkadinkado is heat embossed  and if you look closely you can see two small black rhinestones for the cat's eyes. Thanks for stopping by my blog and enjoy the rest of your day!

Spooky Sky Halloween Card

The creepy tree in this card was just begging for a spooky sky. I couldn't resist trying to make a few ominous looking clouds and moon by doing some sponging. I started with a white piece of cardstock and stamped the tree with StazOn Jet Black, then I sponged on Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, and Summer Starfruit to create the scene. I used punched pieces as masks to create the sky (punches used were various size circle scallops and the pansy punch). The layout for this Spooky Sky Halloween Card is from Freshly Made Sketches. I love the clean lines of this sketch created by Narelle Farrugia. The designer paper is from the Witches' Brew collection by Stampin' Up! and I used the Chevron embossing folder and then sanded the Black Magic cardstock by Core'dinations. I used deckle scissors by Fiskars for the decorative edge on the black patterned paper. It adds a little interest but still allows for a clean look paired with the white paper. Thanks for stopping by and have a great night and pleasant tomorrow!

Googly Ghouls Halloween Card

Witches and Goblins and Spooks oh my! I've only got a couple more Halloween cards to make and so I had to use one of my favorite retired Stampin' Up! stamps sets called Googly Ghouls from last year. The layout for this Googly Ghouls Halloween Card is from the Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch challenge. The circle elements and the sentiment area worked perfectly with the stamps I wanted to use. It's always nice when I can find a sketch that brings the supplies I have on hand together so well. The Wicked Fun designer series paper is from several years back but I love the colors in this collection. Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, and Whisper White really made a fun Halloween color combo. Well, that's about it for me. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!!!

BOO! Halloween Mummy Card

Can you tell the color purple was speaking to me today? I love using purple in my Halloween cards and I found the perfect patterned paper in the Spooky Time stack by DCWV. The focal image of this Boo! Halloween Mummy card is by Bugaboo Digi Stamps and I gave it a little color with my Copic markers. After coloring the mummy I fussy-cut him and adhered him to a scallop oval die cut. The BOO! sentiment and spider web stamps are both by Craft Smart and have been in my stash for a couple of years. I added a couple of glittery photo corners to the BOO! sentiment banner and the final touch were three gemstones. I still have a couple of more Halloween cards to make so check back again soon. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a crafty day!

Trick or Treat Halloween Card

Hello! The days keep passing by and I still have a few Halloween cards to make. So tonight I sat down and made this Trick or Treat Halloween Card. I tried to keep this card masculine to play along at Cards for Men. I'm hoping it's masculine enough. My hubby said it was cool but sometimes it's hard to know if he is just saying that, or if he really means it.

All supplies for this card are by Stampin' Up!. I used the Witches Brew dsp, Best of Halloween stamp set, square lattice embossing folder, circle and circle scallop punches, and Basic Black, Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, and Very Vanilla cardstock.

Good evening! Today I was in the mood to make something cute! On my list of cute animals is the Panda and this Doodle Pantry image is definitely a cutie. The layout for this Pumpkin Panda Halloween Card comes from this weeks sketch at The Sweet Stop. The patterned papers are by American Crafts and the Happy Halloween sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (128748 wood, 127802 clear) by Stampin' Up!. The final touches were some black and white twine and three gemstones. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week.

Immediately I knew it would make for an interesting challenge. There are so many different ways to get inspired from this photo and I can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

For my card I chose to use patterned paper for my Jack-O-Lanterns. I used paper from American Crafts and Stampin' Up!. It was a lot of fun to create this card and I hope it inspires you to play along.

Welcome Home Card

Since the end of May I've been studying to take the Oklahoma Real Estate License exam. Last night I took the test and I'm super happy to say that I PASSED!!! Needless to say, I'm really excited. This is something I've wanted to do for a very long time and I finally went after it.

This Welcome Home Card will eventually be given to one of my future clients when they purchase a home. To create this card I used a sketch from the Creative Creations Challenge. The layout was perfect for the house stamp by Bella BLVD. All patterned paper (Thankful collection) and stamps for this card are by Bella BLVD and I've used Copic Markers to color the house. The sentiment was heat embossed and the three punched leaves were the final touch. This is one card that will be truly exciting to give away! Thanks for stopping by.

Maple Leaf Thanksgiving Card

Hello! It seems another weekend has flown by and World Card Making Day has come and gone. This Maple Leaf Thanksgiving Card was my World Card Making Day creation. The layout comes from the sketch at Create with Connie & Mary. I kept the card simple because I didn't want to distract any attention from the glossy Maple Leaf. The plaid paper is from the Sweater Weather dsp (132184) by Stampin' Up! and the maple leaf was cut using the Big Shot and the Autumn Accents Bigz die (127812). The final touches were the Crushed Curry Candy Dots, white twine, and the Thanksgiving sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (128748, wood). Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Sock Monkey Halloween Card

It's been several days since I've been in my craft room. My nieces showed their sheep at the Tulsa State Fair on Wednesday and then my hubby had knee surgery on Thursday, so it's been a really busy week!!! This evening I was able to sneak a little time to make this Sock Monkey Halloween Card while my hubby took a nap. It's amazing how tired I am after his surgery!!! If you've ever taken care of someone after surgery then you know what I'm talking about.

In case you haven't guessed, I LOVE monkeys! Their antics are amusing and the majority of them are super cute. When looking through the selection of images at Bugaboo Digi Stamps I found this fun Sock Monkey image and decided he would be perfect for a few of my Halloween cards this year. I colored him with my Copic markers and used patterned paper from American Crafts. It's been awhile since I've stitched on a card, so I got the machine out and did a little stitching. The spider web punch is by Fiskars and the Trick or Treat sentiment is from the Best of Halloween stamp set by Stampin' Up!. Thanks for stopping by and if you get a chance there is still time to play along with my Monkey Business challenge. Have a great night and a pleasant tomorrow!

Blue Paisley Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday! October first has arrived and the cooler weather is on it's way. That makes me very happy! Over the weekend I found a couple challenges I wanted to combine. To create this Blue Paisley Birthday Card I selected the middle row across to use patterned paper, embossing, and any shade of blue. The colors used are Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, and Midnight Muse. I really liked working with this sketch and it's not something I would have come up with on my own. Thanks for stopping by and have a terrific day!
